Agata Zysiak is a historical sociologist working on social mobility, modernization dreams and state-socialism. Her latest book, “Limiting Privilege: Upward Mobility Within Higher Education in Socialist Poland” (2023), examines first-generation students’ struggles with reluctant academia.
