Dr. Kristina Andělová

Post-Doc 2024/2025 and Affiliate Researcher

Kristina Andělová is a historian who completed her dissertation on the political thought of Czech reform communism in the 1970s and 1980s at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Prague in 2021s. Recently, she is a research associate at the Institute of Contemporary History of the CAS and affiliated researcher to the HERESSEE ERC project in Vienna. She is focused on intellectual history, Czechoslovak dissent, and women’s political thought in Central Europe.

Focus in the HERESSEE Project

  • The history of feminist political thought and women’s rights in postwar and post-normalization Czechoslovakia and post-1989 Czechia and Slovakia.
